Advice

Best time to go: Summer June-September where the weather is 80+ and the water is warm for water sports. If you are looking to ski there is also a local ski resort best for novice skiers.

Where to stay: If with a group definitely look into an Airbnb. There are plenty cabins on the lake where you can walk down to the water.

How to get there: The easiest way is to drive. The closest airport is Fresno

What to do: Any water sport imaginable, hike, fish, run, bike, swim, basically anything active. If you are looking for a place to party this is not it. There is only one bar in the area and let me just say it is interesting. You can even go up to Yosemite it is only 30 minutes away. There is also a rope swing, shooting range and river near by.

Where to eat: We ate a few of the restaurants near by most of them known for burgers they were all pretty good nothing to spectacular but honestly i think anything would have tasted delicious with how hungry I was all weekend.

My Weekend: June 1-4th

There is nothing like an active weekend. A weekend filled with wake-boarding, wake-surfing, solemn skiing, triathlons and 5ks.

5K and Triathlon Races: So we call went up to Bass Lake for the Triathlon. The course was hilly and altitude was not a friend of our untrained bodies but it was a blast. I ended up getting 1st of the women which gave me the little trophy.

After the race we piled in the boat dropped off our stuff at the cabin and quickly got in boat for water sports. They lake is a beautiful place to give any water sport a go! I had a couple first this trip: wake-surfing and solemn skiing. They were awesome. Below is some from wake-boarding!!
